axtuallypizza asked:
How did you do the bat wing eyeliner!?!? As someone who can hardly handle a dang line, I gotta know

Hmm. I’m honestly not sure how to answer this. I draw and paint IRL, so for me it’s like painting a bat wing on any other surface. Certainly even a line takes practice, and there are days when I’m sure my regular wing eyeliner is crooked!

If this helps you at all, I use a painting brush like this, and my eyeliner of choice for many years is MAC Fluidline in Black.

Then, I just draw the outline of how I’d like the wing to look, and fill it in.

Also I’m so glad it’s almost October so I can wear these again! I’m down for bats year-round, but you know. It’s easier to get away with this time of year.

Hey! Just wondering if you would be able to tell me where I could get the dress like Tia Dalma? Cheers! :)

Sorry, I’m not sure. It was a professional costume if I remember correctly, so it might be one of a kind or even from the set. The post probably contains a link back to the source; I tried to be pretty diligent about that.

Textile art by Mister Finch

Self-taught artist Mr. Finch creates animals and other objects that seem to stem from Alice’s Wonderland. Inspired by the rolling hills and mossy woods near his home in Yorkshire, Finch forms flowers, insects and birds that fascinate him with their amazing life cycles and extraordinary nests and behaviour.

He then goes hunting for vintage textiles – velvet curtains from an old hotel, a threadbare wedding dress or a vintage apron – and transforms them into all sorts of beasts and toadstools. According to Mr. Finch, his figures are “storytelling creatures for people who are also a little lost, found and forgotten”.

Ifound a user on AliExpress who seems to be selling Black Milk Clothing items for 1/10 the price, and I was wondering if you had any idea if these will actually be nice? OR what they look like at all? I've never bought anything from this site, but it would be great for Christmas shopping if it were as good as it seem. /store/904851

Hello, sorry I saw this so late!

I’m really not sure. It’s definitely knock-offs, and they might be good, but you never know.

To be honest, for something like these leggings, you’ll probably be fine… I find Black Milk to be horribly over-priced for what it is. Yes, the designs are cool. But I just wouldn’t put out ~$80 for spandex leggings. Not sure if anything is special about their material, to make it so costly.

I rarely feel compelled to state this: Thank you for your remarks on images, you say insightful things and are also generous with information.

Thank you for appreciating my “work”!

Just trying to add what I see to be lacking.

Fabulous Fashionistas (2013)

"As fashion weeks start to pile up globally, leaving a trail of discarded carbs strewn through capital cities, now is the time for anti-fashion naysayers to offer a superior yawn and tap out "Is this news?" below style stories online. Some people still believe that an interest in clothes means a woman’s brain — and it is overwhelmingly women on the receiving end of this disdain — has crumbled into face powder, that the very existence of lipstick scrubs out 50 years of feminism.
"Fabulous Fashionistas (Channel 4) is a delightful, delicate documentary that sticks two fingers up to this idea."

"The idea that it’s about looking good is a bit of a ruse, really, because it’s about being determined to live as full a life as possible at whatever age. It’s style and substance, and it’s lovely."

— Rebecca Nicholson (The Guardian)

Your blog is really pretty and amazing *O* also, have a nice day! :D

Thank you <3

i really wish you would have sourced that fox post

I know, I’m sorry. Those images deserve sourcing, but I figured it’s fine to leave it up to individuals to find the ones they’re interested in. I have less and less time to do things like that, or for this blog, lately.

Pretty soon, due to other life things, I might not be able to keep this up at all. :/
